Los cuerpos de los 9 campesinos desaparecidos del Santa, asesinados por el grupo Colina durante la dictadura de Fujimori, fueron encontrados y entregados a sus familiares para ser velados y enterrados. Los campesinos fueron asesinados hace 19 años.

The bodies of the nine farmers who were killed and hidden by Colina para-militar group were found and  given up to their relatives. The killings happened 19 years ago, during Fujimori´s dictatorship in Peru.

Amparito Cuñañay (39). She has 2 kids. She works as a prostitute since she was 19, when her husband abandoned her and their children. Amparito works in the streets, around Iquitos Main Square. She works at night and charges US$. 3.5 per service.

Magnolia Babilonia (42). Tiene 2 hijos y un nieto. Se dedica a la prostitución desde los 21 años, sus padres no lo saben. Ha trabajado como visitadora del Ejército Peruano viajando por distintos pueblos de la amazonía ofreciendo sus servicios en cuarteles. Magnolia ahora trabaja en un bar de Belén, una de las zonas mas pobres de Iquitos. Empieza a trabajar a las 7am y termina a las 6pm. Ella cobra S/.10 por servicio.

Magnolia Babilonia (42). She has 2 kids and one grandchild. She works as a prostitute since she was 21 years old, her parents do not know. She has worked as a “visitor” for the Peruvian Army travelling around the Amazon jungle offering her work in different barracks. Magnolia is now working in a bar in Belen, the poorest shantytown in Iquitos. She works from 7am to 6pm every day. She charges US$. 3.5 per service.

Priscila Castillo (21). Tiene un hijo de 2 años. Se dedica a la prostitución desde hace 6 meses. Su madre piensa que trabaja como mesera de un bar. Priscila baila en un club desnudista y cobra S/.80 por tener sexo con los clientes.

Lucy Aspajo (46). Tiene 2 hijos, ellos no saben que trabaja como prostituta. Lucy ha estado casada 3 veces y ha ejercido el trabajo sexual cada vez que quedó soltera. Lucy trabaja en las calles de Belén, una de las zonas mas pobres de Iquitos.

Paris (26). Nació como Geiser Lavi y es transexual. A los 13 años ya sabía que le gustaban los hombres y a los 16 ya se vestía como mujer. Trabaja como prostituta desde los 18 años. Su familia apoya su opción sexual pero no sabe que trabaja como prostituta. Paris cobra S/.50 por sesión.

Paris (26). Borned as Geiser Lavi and he is a transsexual. At the age of 13 he knew he liked men and at 16 he already dressed like a girl. She works as a prostitute since she was 18. Her family knows and accept her sexual option but they do not know she works as a prostitute. Paris charges US$.17 per session.

Lily Navarro (62). Tiene 1 hija. Se dedica a la prostitución desde los 30 años, cuando el padre de su hija las abandonó. Su hija sabe y acepta su trabajo. Lily trabaja en el burdel Las Cucardas, cerca al aeropuerto de Iquitos. Ella trabaja por las noches y cobra S/.10 por servicio.

Lily Navarro (62). She has 1 daughter and 2 grandchildren. Lily works as a prostitute since she was 30 years old when her daughter’s father abandoned them. Her daughter knows and accept her job. Lily works in a brothel named “Las Cucardas”, close to Iquito’s airport. She works at night and charges US$. 3.5 per service.
